After several years of efforts, a preliminary framework for the establishment of a standard system for labor protection supplies was proposed. According to the current production and development trend of personal protective equipment and the public’s requirements for personal protective equipment, the concept of “people-oriented” is reflected. The initial assumptions of the personal protective equipment standard system are:

1) From the upper and lower levels, individual protection equipment standards are divided into three levels: professional standards, generic standards and product technology standards. The first level is the professional general standard, which is mainly to stipulate common and basic standards for personal protective equipment, such as classification and terminology of individual protective equipment, selection planning, and test methods. The second level is a general category of standards, which stipulates general standards for categories such as head protection, respiratory protection and eye and face protection, including basic standards, method standards, etc., such as general technical conditions for labor protection gloves and general technical conditions for electrically insulated shoes. The third level is the product standard, divided into two kinds of situations. First, the general technical conditions are stipulated for similar products (sets of products with the same main protective function), and the second is the standard for a certain product. 2) In terms of content, personal protective equipment standards should include: head protection, respiratory protection, eye and face protection, hearing protection, trunk protection, hand protection, skin care products, foot protection, fall protection and other types of protection, etc. Ten categories. 3) From the standard types, the standards for personal protective equipment are divided into three categories: basic standards, method standards, and product standards. The basic standards mainly stipulate the most basic contents of professional common standards and general categories of standards, such as provisions on relevant terms, selection plans, general technical conditions, rules for selection of labor protection articles, and general technical conditions for protective shoes. The method standards mainly stipulate the relevant test methods and test methods in the generic standards of categories, such as seat belt detection methods and helmet testing methods. The product standards mainly provide corresponding regulations for similar products or certain products.
