Assumption of standard system of labor protection articles

As early as 1988, the former National Standardization Technical Committee for Labor Protection provided a study on the standard system of labor protection articles. In 1990, on the basis of the former National Labor Protection Standardization Technical Committee, with the consent of the former Ministry of Labor, the Shanghai Institute of Labor Protection officially launched a standard system for labor protection articles. After several years of efforts, a preliminary framework for the establishment of a standard system for labor protection supplies was proposed. Under this framework, labor protection research institutes and related organizations are actively involved in the formulation of standards and work out a number of labor protection standards, such as general technical conditions for shockproof gloves, general technical conditions for shockproof shoes, dust masks, and labor protection. Raincoats and so on. Due to several changes in the organization, labor protection standards have not reached the expected goal. Over the past few years, as China's accession to the WTO, the rapid development of the economic situation, changes in ISO standards, and the current need for safe production work, new requirements have been put forward for standards for personal protective equipment. The previous standard system has not adapted to the present Needs. According to the current production and development trend of personal protective equipment and the public’s requirements for personal protective equipment, the concept of “people-oriented” is reflected. The initial assumptions of the personal protective equipment standard system are:

1) From the upper and lower levels, individual protection equipment standards are divided into three levels: professional standards, generic standards and product technology standards. The first level is the professional general standard, which is mainly to stipulate common and basic standards for personal protective equipment, such as classification and terminology of individual protective equipment, selection planning, and test methods. The second level is a general category of standards, which stipulates general standards for categories such as head protection, respiratory protection and eye and face protection, including basic standards, method standards, etc., such as general technical conditions for labor protection gloves and general technical conditions for electrically insulated shoes. The third level is the product standard, divided into two kinds of situations. First, the general technical conditions are stipulated for similar products (sets of products with the same main protective function), and the second is the standard for a certain product. Such as flame retardant protective clothing.

2) In terms of content, personal protective equipment standards should include: head protection, respiratory protection, eye and face protection, hearing protection, trunk protection, hand protection, skin care products, foot protection, fall protection and other types of protection, etc. Ten categories. Head protection includes: safety helmet and related content; respiratory protection includes: clean air respirators, isolated respirator, air respirator, dust respirator, self-rescuer, masks and related content; eye and face protection including: various Occupational glasses, face protection and related content; Hearing protection includes: various earplugs and related content; trunk protection includes: protective clothing, X-ray protective clothing, chemical protective clothing and other occupational protective clothing and related content; hand protection Including: Immersion gloves, shock-proof gloves and related content; skin care products include: skin care agents, skin care detergents and related content; foot protection including: a variety of professional shoes, safety shoes and related content; fall protection including: safety net, safety Belts and related content; other types of protection include: protection of specific locations such as water protection.

3) From the standard types, the standards for personal protective equipment are divided into three categories: basic standards, method standards, and product standards. The basic standards mainly stipulate the most basic contents of professional common standards and general categories of standards, such as provisions on relevant terms, selection plans, general technical conditions, rules for selection of labor protection articles, and general technical conditions for protective shoes. The method standards mainly stipulate the relevant test methods and test methods in the generic standards of categories, such as seat belt detection methods and helmet testing methods. The product standards mainly provide corresponding regulations for similar products or certain products.
