In the winter and next spring, due to the rapid growth in demand and the shortage of upstream gas supply, the situation of natural gas in winter in Chongqing is still severe, and there is a large gap between supply and demand. From the demand analysis, the peak daily gas consumption of the city is 24.3 million cubic meters, and the gap is 4.3 million cubic meters per day. In response to the current severe situation, the city has strengthened its organization and leadership, prepared for the rainy day, and made every effort to promote the five major measures to do everything possible to ensure the protection of natural gas supply during the winter and spring.

The first is to strengthen leadership and carefully formulate plans to meet the peak winter supply. We will set up a leading group for natural gas to meet the peak of winter work and strengthen the leadership of natural gas supply. Prepare a natural gas supply plan to protect the people's livelihood, ensure stability, and protect key points, and strive to achieve a basic balance between supply and demand.

The second is to increase reserves, and strive to increase the supply of resources this winter and next spring. Accelerate the advancement of liquefied natural gas reserves and plan to build another 2-3 liquefied natural gas gasification stations in the main city, striving for liquefied natural gas storage capacity to reach more than 1 million cubic meters in winter to enhance the main city peak-shaving capability and ensure the safety of city gas Use gas.

The third is to ensure the focus of the use of liquefied natural gas to supplement CNG refueling stations and key enterprise gas sources. On the one hand, LNG storage and gas storage facilities will be constructed in key parks and key enterprises to ensure emergency supplemental use of gas; on the other hand, LNG will be used to supplement CNG refueling station gas.

The fourth is to strengthen the emergency duty and quickly deal with emergencies. During the winter and spring of this year, the gas supply companies are urged to strengthen the 24-hour duty system, set up an emergency repair team, ensure the rapid disposal of various accidents, and resume the supply of gas as soon as possible.

The fifth is to strengthen ** guidance and call on the people to save gas. We will continue to strengthen publicity and guide work. During the peak of energy use, the entire society shall be required to save gas, and the heating of major hotels and commercial establishments shall adopt the “18-26” (18-26 degrees Celsius) system.
