Crop seed fertilizer application technology

Fertilizer is the most cost-effective method of fertilization. It is the nutrients required to apply fertilizer to or near the seed during the planting or transplanting to supply the initial stage of crop growth. Since the fertilizer is directly applied to the vicinity of the seed, it is necessary to strictly control the dosage and select the type of fertilizer, so as to avoid causing burning and rotting, resulting in lack of seedlings and ridges.

There are many methods for applying fertilizers, such as seed dressing, soaking seeds, strips, acupoints or roots.

Seed dressing is a method of dissolving or diluting the fertilizer with a small amount of water, spraying it on the surface of the seed, spraying it while spraying, so that the fertilizer solution is evenly applied to the surface of the seed, and then sown after drying.

Soaking seeds is to dissolve or dilute the fertilizer solution into a certain concentration of solution. According to the ratio of liquid seed 1:10, the seeds are immersed in the solution for 12-24 hours, so that the fertilizer liquid penetrates into the seed coat with water, and then sown immediately after drying.

Roots refer to the solution of rice and other transplanted crops, which are diluted to a certain concentration (usually 0.01%-0.1%) before transplanting or transplanting, and the roots of the crops are smashed into the fertilizer solution. The survival rate is high, the operation is convenient, and the effect is good.

After ditching or digging, the fertilizer is applied to the 3-5 cm ditch and hole in the plough layer, and then the seed dressing is carried out near the fertilizer belt, and the seed fertilizer distance is kept above 3 cm.

Fertilizers used as seed fertilizers require nutrients to be released quickly, not too acidic or too alkaline, and the fertilizer itself is not toxic to seed germination.

Fertilizers commonly used as seed fertilizers include decomposed organic fertilizers, humic acids, amino acid solids, liquid fertilizers, microbial fertilizers, and quick-acting fertilizers.

In principle, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium chloride and urea are not suitable for seed fertilizer. The biuret in urea is toxic to the seed. If used as a seed fertilizer, it is necessary to strictly control the amount and use urea with less than 2% biuret, and 2.5 kg per 667 m2.

The quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer is 2.5-5 kg ​​per 667 m2; the ammonium phosphate or three-element compound fertilizer is 2.5-5 kg; the humic acid and amino acid liquid fertilizer are diluted 600-800 times; the micro-fertilizer is generally diluted to 0.1%-0.05%.
