Guangxi Metallurgical Research Institute undertakes the experimental study on the bauxite ore washing in Vietnam

A few days ago, Guangxi Metallurgical Research Institute and Guangxi Investment Group Co., Ltd. formally signed a contract to undertake the company’s mine washing test research work on bauxite in northern Vietnam.

Guangxi Investment Group Co., Ltd. is the main investment and financing entity of the People's Government of Guangxi District and is a large state-owned investment enterprise authorized by the Guangxi government. The company has invested in the construction of key projects in Guangxi to realize the maintenance and appreciation of state-owned assets and services for Guangxi's economic development. It is the most active, most productive and forward-looking investor in Guangxi and has maintained a good reputation with the Metallurgical Institute over the years. In the cooperation relationship, the semi-industrial test for the continuous leaching of manganese oxide ore and the industrial washing test for Guangxi High-speed Rail Sanshui bauxite were jointly completed.

The company and Vietnam plan to cooperate in the development of bauxite resources in northern Vietnam. The metallurgical institute has extensive experience in the ore washing trials. It completed the processing of bauxite in Guangxi Pingguo Aluminum Co., Ltd., and bauxite in Yunnan Wenshan Aluminum Co., Ltd. The semi-industrial mine trials of three mines and the small-scale mine trials of laterite nickel mines in a certain area in Indonesia have strong technical force and are capable of performing various types of mine-laundering test projects. Therefore, the company commissioned the institute to carry out the development of a bauxite mine in Vietnam. The washed ore test project will provide the mineral properties of the bauxite ore, the effect of washing and beneficiation, the process, and the product index. Through the ore-washing experiment study, the best beneficiation process will be determined to provide the parameters of the ore-washing process for future expansion tests. According to the test results, submit a complete test analysis data and conclusions, and put forward the next working ideas and recommendations as a reference for the company to invest in the project.

The investment company will also use the test results as a basis and guidance for further expansion of the trial, and intends to continue entrusting the metallurgical institute to expand the experimental research work so as to further expand the horizontal business of the metallurgical institute.
