Salt Salt Production Recovery in Yunnan

Yunnan Salt Chemical (002053) Co., Ltd. issued an announcement last night on the recovery of chlor-alkali plants. Earlier on the evening of October 13, Yunnan Salt issued an announcement saying that due to a production safety accident in the Kunming salt mine, the 100,000 tons PVC/annual production unit of Kunming Salt Mine was discontinued and disposed of, and the 100,000 tons caustic soda/year production unit was operated at a reduced load. .

Yunnan Salt Chemicals announced last night that after the accident, Kunming Salt Mine has implemented rectification of the relevant systems according to the hidden hazard rectification plan. On October 30, 2011, the company's 100,000-ton/year PVC plant resumed production, and the production load of 100,000 tons/year ion-exchange membrane caustic soda plant was increased to 50%.

According to Yunnan Saline, the production department preliminary estimated that the suspension of production will affect the output of polyvinyl chloride products by about 4,500 tons and caustic soda products by about 3,000 tons, which will have less impact on the completion of the annual production plan.
