The new solid-state battery basically does not contain toxic or harmful substances. Temple said that the solid-state battery they designed was mainly based on the best combination of materials. This design proved that the solid-state battery was completely feasible to achieve a high charge rate and fast charging, and therefore obtained a patent. Dr. Shi Chengyu, a Chinese scholar who participated in the project, said: "In the initial test, the charge and discharge cycle of the new battery was quite stable, and it could still maintain 84% of the original capacity after 500 charge and discharge.
