The warm second National Furniture Designers Congress was successfully held in Shanghai

    During the 18th China International Furniture Fair, the second National Furniture Designers Congress, hosted by the China Furniture Association and undertaken by the Design Working Committee of the China Furniture Association, was successfully held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center in September 2012. The members and members of the Design Working Committee of the China Furniture Association; representatives of furniture enterprises, furniture designers, and representatives of industry associations participated in the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by Wu Guodong, deputy secretary general of China Furniture Association. Next, the meeting won the "Chinese Furniture Design Outstanding Contribution Award", "Chinese Furniture Design Education Teacher Award", "Chinese Furniture Design Top Ten Designers", "Chinese Furniture Design Rising Star Award", "Chinese Furniture Design Leadership Award" , 80 representatives of "Top Ten Awards of Chinese Furniture Design Institutions" awarded trophies and honor certificates. Chai Xiaodong, winner of the "China Furniture Design Rising Star Award", gave a wonderful award speech as the award representative.

The "Chinese Furniture Designers Convention" was read out and passed at the meeting. Zhu Changling, chairman of the China Furniture Association, delivered a speech comparing the furniture design situation at home and abroad, and raised new hopes for China's furniture design market. At the end of the meeting, Professor Liu Guanzhong from the School of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University brought a wonderful lecture "From Creation to Conspiracy", which resonated with many designers and benefited everyone.

This meeting adheres to the spirit of the first National Furniture Designers Congress in 2006, summarizes the development of Chinese furniture design in the past six years, and has an in-depth discussion on the future of furniture design.
