China's imports of primary plastics in the first 11 months

According to the latest statistics from the General Administration of Customs of China, from January to November of this year, China’s primary plastics imports were 21.66 million tons, which was basically the same as last year, but the amount was as high as US$ 39.29 billion, a significant increase of 26.1% year-on-year. In November, China imported 2.14 million tons of plastics of primary shape, amounting to 3.97 billion US dollars.

Since the beginning of this year, due to factors such as the price increase of raw materials, the increase in the import volume of primary plastics in China is much higher than the increase in volume. As of October, the amount of imports of primary shapes had exceeded the full year of last year, but as of the latest data for November, imports were basically the same as last year.

As early as October, the accumulated import amount was 35.32 billion U.S. dollars, which was more than the 34.79 billion U.S. dollars in the previous year. Last year, the import volume was 23.81 million tons.
