SolidWorks Composer Bike Product Application Sharing
Solidworks Composer is commonly used to make product manuals, service and repair guides, or assembly manuals, and more. Share here, we will use SolidworksComposer for related markets and marketing for different color bicycle styles.
First, select the images you want to put in the manual or on the website. Use function column/render/illumination settings, or edit from the lighting mode in the properties pane (Figure 1, Figure 2).
Using the depth of field feature in the render adds extra realism, allowing you to focus on the area you are interested in (Figure 3, Figure 4), through the steps: Render / Depth of Field / Click on the area you want to focus on .
In addition, Path: Function Column/Author, adds text and image assist (Figure 5) to make your image stand out, allowing you to render easy-to-understand graphics (Figure 6). These views can be exported to formats such as TIFF, PNG, BMP and JPEG.
For a product with a different color style, the flat text can often give less information. But in SolidworksComposer, you can interact with your product, starting with an interaction that changes the color of the bike's frame.
The following examples are used to share:
1. Add an image, author/2D image (Figure 7), and select the appropriate location and size (Figure 8).
2. From the Properties pane/Texture/Image Path/..., browse to the folder and add the pre-drawn white button image (Figure 9).
3. From the Properties pane/check to keep the aspect ratio, enable shadows, and edit their object properties such as scale, shadow distance (Figure 10).
4. Change the frame color to white, click the white button (Figure 11), and use the workspace/view/create new view to check the desired object properties, which means you can capture the color or material structure (Figure 12). The resulting view, we renamed FrameWhite (Figure 13).
5. Next, teach you how to generate hyperlinks in SolidworksComposer. First, click the white button in the view, go to the Properties pane/Events/Links/... (Figure 14), go to the Select Link window, select the view:// and FrameWhite from the URL drop-down menu, and create a hyperlink (Figure 15).
6. If you need to see if the created hyperlink is successful, you can deselect the design mode in the lower right corner and click the white button to display the preview (Figure 16).
Use these same steps to add color options for the remaining bike components and view them in the finished view. Click on the color to see if the bike frame changes color as you requested (Figure 17). The completed content can be embedded in Word, PowerPoint, PDF files, HTML, or played using the free download SolidworksComposer player.
We can choose the color of the frame, choose white, choose black for handle and cushion, blue tire with yellow wheel frame, plus yellow wheel should make the bicycle more prominent, with red chain gear and red pedal. When the design is complete, let the bike join the panorama display on the road (Figure 21). The way to add a panorama can be compared to how the button color is created, so that the panorama and the view can be hyperlinked (Figure 20).
After learning this hyperlink technique from the frame object, I now add the link to the view, as shown in Figure 22. Very simple, use the Ctrl key to drag the view to the main screen, put it in the appropriate position, update the view, and then close the design mode test, you can immediately switch the view. Through this design, the customer group directly interacts with the coloring at the beginning to increase freshness.
