World single series largest aromatic production line test

The world's largest single aromatics production line - Wuhua Petrochemical Company produces one million tons of para-xylene aromatics per year. It is now in the trial phase. It is expected that the whole process will be opened by the end of October to produce paraxylene as a chemical raw material.

Xu Zhenming, deputy general manager of Wuzhou Petrochemical Refinery, said: “The entire plant has been bringing in raw oil, starting hot oil shipments, and the subsequent charging of the catalyst in the heating furnace. It is expected that by the end of September, the reforming unit will start feeding into the oil. The entire unit is expected to release qualified products on October 20."

The annual total production of one million tons of p-xylene aromatics project is about 3.8 billion yuan. Construction started in May 2008 and China Communications was realized on June 30 this year. The localization rate of the main equipment of the project reached 96%, of which the key equipment has China's independent knowledge. Property rights, some equipment specifications and capabilities have reached the world's leading level.

Liu Linyang, deputy manager of the aromatics project department of Wuhua Petrochemical Company: “We produce 1 million tons of paraxylene and 370,000 tons of benzene, which are basic organic chemical raw materials and can extend our industrial chain.”

The successful test run of the production line also enabled Wuhua Petrochemical to become another domestic chemical raw material production base, and achieved resource sharing and complementary advantages with Dushanzi Petrochemical's million-ton ethylene project.
